What is the Rice Purity Test?

The Rice Purity Test started back in 1924 at Rice University when a few students made a short survey to see how “pure” people were based on their life experiences.

Years later, in the 1980s, Rice students turned it into a bigger 100-question quiz that became super popular among first-year college students. Instead of judging people, it became a fun way to bond, laugh, and see how much life you’ve experienced. Today, it’s still taken by students, teens, and adults just for fun. No shame, just curiosity.

This test is totally safe and anonymous. None of your answers or personal details are saved or shared with anyone. It’s just a fun quiz to see where you stand no risks, no sign-ups, and no judgment.

The score is calculated based on how many Question’s checkbox you tick. Every box you tick meaning the more experiences you’ve had, the lower your score will be. Once you finish all 100 questions, your final number between 0 and 100 shows your overall level of innocence. A higher number usually means you’re more innocent or haven’t explored much yet. In contrast, a lower score means you’ve had more real-life experiences.

When people ask what is a good rice purity test score, it really depends on your age and lifestyle. For most, anything above 80 is seen as “innocent,” while scores under 30 are often viewed as more experienced. But what is a bad rice purity test score? Honestly, there isn’t one, every score just tells a different story about who you are and the choices you’ve made.
